Arsenal hit Kroupi transfer roadblock as Bournemouth take firm January stance

Arsenal face a significant obstacle in any January move for Eli Junior Kroupi, with Bournemouth reportedly unwilling to entertain offers for the forward.

The 20-year-old has featured in the Gunners’ attacking recruitment plans, but the latest reporting suggests the Cherries intend to keep him through the winter window.

According to the Standard’s report, syndicated by AOL, BBC Sport has reported that Bournemouth will not consider January offers.

That position would complicate any attempt by Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta to bring Kroupi to the Emirates midway through the season.

Kroupi Arsenal transfer interest faces availability problem

Read Arsenal previously covered reports placing Kroupi alongside Kevin Schade on Arsenal’s January list.

The latest development concerns Bournemouth’s willingness to sell. It does not establish that Arsenal have submitted an offer or opened negotiations.

Kroupi attracted attention after scoring 13 Premier League goals in his first season with the Cherries. However, his progress was interrupted when he required surgery on a fractured metatarsal during pre-season.

The Standard reports that he has yet to feature this season following that setback.

What Bournemouth’s stance means for Arsenal

For Arsenal, availability would have to shape any decision to pursue the deal.

A January signing is usually expected to contribute quickly, making Kroupi’s return to competitive football another factor to assess alongside Bournemouth’s position.

The immediate question is whether the Cherries become willing to negotiate. On the latest reporting, that door remains closed.
