Arsenal make shock late move to hijack Tottenham’s £60m Ndiaye deal

Arsenal have entered the race for Iliman Ndiaye as Mikel Arteta searches for another attacking addition before the transfer window closes, potentially threatening Tottenham’s advanced move for the Everton star.

Spurs currently lead the pursuit of the Senegal international and have been discussing a deal worth around £60million.

However, Arsenal’s late interest has now added another complication.

Arsenal show late Iliman Ndiaye interest

The Guardian reports that Arsenal have shown interest in Ndiaye, although Tottenham remain ahead in the race for his signature.

Sky Sports says Tottenham and Everton are already in advanced talks, with a potential £60m fee being discussed alongside negotiations over personal terms.

The Sun has gone further by claiming Arsenal are preparing a late attempt to hijack the move.

Ndiaye’s situation comes as Arteta dramatically reshapes his attacking options. Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus are closing in on exits, while Arsenal are also refusing to abandon their pursuit of Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez.

ReadArsenal has already reported on Arteta’s fresh push to convince Alvarez.

Tottenham remain favourites to sign Ndiaye, but Arsenal’s emergence leaves Everton with another interested club as the deadline approaches.
