Arsenal have recalled Anneke Borbe for their Women’s Super League clash with Manchester City, while Steph Catley returns to the matchday squad among the substitutes.
Renée Slegers makes one change from Wednesday’s starting XI against Paris FC, with Borbe replacing Misa Rodríguez in goal.
The ten outfield players retain their places for the 4.30pm BST kick-off at the Etihad Stadium.
Arsenal confirmed XI vs Manchester City
Starting XI: Borbe; Fox, Williamson, Wubben-Moy, Batlle; Stanway, Cooney-Cross, Little (captain); Baum, Mariona, Russo.
Substitutes: Misa, Catley, Foord, Smith, Maanum, Reuteler, Blackstenius, Cerci, Holmberg.
The selection also appears in the Guardian’s live team-news coverage.
Catley returns as Wubben-Moy keeps starting place
Catley’s inclusion gives Slegers another defensive option after the Australian missed the Paris match with a back issue.
However, Lotte Wubben-Moy continues alongside Leah Williamson, with Emily Fox and Ona Batlle completing the defence.
Our predicted Arsenal XI anticipated Borbe’s return but also proposed starts for Catley and Olivia Smith. Slegers has instead retained Wubben-Moy and Lisa Baum.
Smith remains available from the bench alongside attacking alternatives including Caitlin Foord, Frida Maanum and Stina Blackstenius.
Kim Little captains the side, with Georgia Stanway and Kyra Cooney-Cross also starting as Arsenal seek a response to their midweek European draw.
