Arsenal are exploring a redevelopment of their London Colney training ground that could bring the men’s first-team facilities together in a purpose-built building.
Andrew Allen reported for Arseblog News on 18 September that the club was considering a new hub at the Sobha Realty Training Centre.
The proposals remain at an early stage, and their scope could change.
What would Arsenal training ground redevelopment involve?
The reported concept would combine performance, medical and rehabilitation facilities with changing rooms, offices, dining areas and media facilities.
Arsenal already have those functions on site. The proposed change would consolidate them within a more integrated building.
It forms part of a wider review of the club’s infrastructure, with potential Emirates Stadium improvements also under consideration.
Arseblog also identified a separate proposal for a temporary women’s strength and conditioning gym during refurbishment work. That should not be confused with approval for the larger first-team project.
What have Arsenal confirmed?
The club’s announcement of its Sobha Realty partnership explicitly included exploring development opportunities at the training ground using the company’s property expertise.
That establishes a broader intention to improve the facilities. It does not confirm the specific building described in Arseblog’s report.
No agreed construction timetable or project cost was provided in that reporting.
The distinction matters: Arsenal are reportedly examining how their training base could evolve, with the final design and delivery still to be established.
