German media criticism of Ethan Nwaneri may suit Arsenal perfectly

Ethan Nwaneri’s mixed start at Borussia Dortmund should not automatically concern Arsenal.

The 19-year-old started Dortmund’s 1-0 win over Stuttgart on Saturday but was replaced after 62 minutes.

That followed his 65th-minute withdrawal against Paderborn one week earlier.

Football.London reports that several German outlets felt Nwaneri struggled to influence the Stuttgart game consistently.

However, his early Bundesliga experience may be exactly why Arsenal sanctioned the loan.

Borussia Dortmund’s official match report confirms Nwaneri started before Konstantinos Karetsas replaced him after 62 minutes.

The same happened against Paderborn, when he was withdrawn after 65 minutes.
