Arsenal will discover their eight Champions League opponents on Thursday, with a potential rematch against Paris Saint-Germain among the standout possibilities.
Mikel Arteta’s side return to Europe’s biggest competition after losing last season’s final to PSG on penalties.
The Gunners have been placed in Pot 1 for the league-phase draw, alongside several familiar European heavyweights.
However, the current format means Arsenal could still face fellow Pot 1 sides, including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and defending champions PSG.
When is the Arsenal Champions League draw?
The Champions League league-phase draw takes place on Thursday, 27 August, at 5pm BST in Monaco.
UEFA has confirmed the draw will begin at 6pm Central European Time, which translates to 5pm in the United Kingdom.
Supporters can watch the draw live on TNT Sports 1 or stream it through HBO Max, with TNT Sports confirming its broadcast coverage.

Arsenal will discover eight opponents, although the final qualifying matches must first determine the remaining clubs involved.
Who could Arsenal face in the Champions League draw?
Arsenal are among nine clubs in Pot 1, together with PSG, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Manchester City, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Teams face two opponents from each pot, meaning Arsenal can still draw another European heavyweight despite their top seeding.
Possible Pot 1 opponents include:
- Paris Saint-Germain
- Bayern Munich
- Real Madrid
- Inter Milan
- Barcelona
- Atletico Madrid
Arsenal cannot face Liverpool or Manchester City because teams from the same national association cannot meet during the league phase.
A reunion with PSG would provide an immediate opportunity to revisit last season’s final, when Arsenal lost 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in Budapest.
Pot 2 includes Borussia Dortmund, Roma, Sporting, Porto, Club Brugge, Real Betis and PSV as potential opponents.
Aston Villa and Manchester United are also in Pot 2 but cannot be drawn against Arsenal.
Possible opponents from Pot 3 include Napoli, RB Leipzig, Villarreal, Lille, Feyenoord and Galatasaray, while Celtic could also enter the draw if they qualify.
Final seedings remain subject to confirmation once the play-off round concludes.
How does the Arsenal Champions League draw work?
Each of the 36 teams receives eight different opponents: two from each of the four pots.
Arsenal will play four matches at the Emirates Stadium and four away, with one home and one away fixture against teams from each pot.
UEFA’s official competition regulations also prevent clubs from facing more than two opponents from another single national association.
The league phase begins between 8 and 10 September, with the final scheduled for 5 June 2027 at Atletico Madrid’s Metropolitano stadium.
Before their European campaign begins, Arsenal travel to Aston Villa on Monday, 31 August. Supporters can find full television details in our Aston Villa vs Arsenal viewing guide.
Arteta will also hope his squad strengthens before the opening European fixtures, with Bruno Guimaraes, William Saliba and Jurrien Timber currently being monitored.
