Arsenal have officially confirmed the signing of highly-rated striker Mylo Bernard from Crystal Palace after agreeing a deal for the teenager earlier this summer.
The 16-year-old has joined Arsenal’s academy as a first-year scholar and has also agreed professional terms which will take effect when he turns 17.
ReadArsenal reported in August that the Gunners had won the race for Bernard after his Crystal Palace contract expired.
The transfer has now been formally completed.
Arsenal complete Mylo Bernard signing
Bernard arrives at Hale End following an outstanding campaign in Crystal Palace’s academy.
Arsenal’s academy confirmed his arrival after the striker scored more than 40 goals across Palace’s youth sides during 2025/26.
He also stepped up above his age group to play Under-18 Premier League football, scoring six goals despite still being eligible for younger age levels.
Bernard has impressed internationally as well.
The forward has represented England at Under-16 level, scoring four times in eight appearances.
His arrival continues Arsenal’s aggressive academy recruitment drive.
The Gunners have also brought in prospects including Igor Tyjon, James Scanlon and Habeeb Ogunneye during a busy summer focused on adding leading young players from rival academies.
Bernard should initially continue his development within Arsenal’s youth setup rather than being viewed as an immediate first-team option.
But securing one of Crystal Palace’s most productive academy forwards gives Arsenal another highly-rated attacking prospect to develop at Hale End.
The 16-year-old can now begin training as an Arsenal player after the agreement first reported earlier in the summer was finally completed.
