Arsenal’s director of football Raul Sanllehi has revealed that the club are not intending to do any major business during the January transfer window.
As reported on ESPN, the Gunners will only consider a major deal if something special comes up during the next few months.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery seems to be settled with the current squad that he has at his disposal but knows that other Premier League teams are likely to strengthen in January, which could leave his side at a disadvantage.

When speaking about the upcoming transfer window, Sanllehi said:
Unless something special comes up, in principle, the winter window is not one that we are really interested in. We are always looking at the market and opportunities that could appear.
Normally, I am not a strong fan of the winter window. I think the winter window is for unexpected problems. That’s not a rule, it is a principle.
We have a full team of professionals looking into the market, analysing the possibilities and the players. The head coach embraces the philosophy we have and the way we want to play. If we see an opportunity, there is a healthy debate.
Sanllehi is in charge of the football operations at Arsenal after Ivan Gazidis left the London club to join AC Milan earlier this year. Emery does not have the power that former Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger did when it comes down to transfers.
