Arsenal drawn against Sporting, Qarabag and Vorskla in Europa League

Arsenal have been drawn against Sporting CP, Qarabag in the Europa League group stage.

The Gunners one of the 12 top seeds in the draw and were drawn into Group E, with Sporting CP – the highest ranked team in Pot 2 the next to join them. Qarabag were the next side drawn into Group E, meaning the Gunners face a six-hour flight each way to and from Azerbaijan

The final team drawn into the group were Ukrainian Premier League side Vorskla.

Whilst the Gunners will need to do a fair bit of travelling, they’ll be happy with the opposition they’ve been drawn against.
