Arsenal are keen to sign Juventus midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, via the Daily Star Sunday.
Bentancur, who recently featured for Uruguay as they made the quarter-final stage at the World Cup, is said to be on Barcelona’s radar, so the Gunners might need to act quickly if they do want to complete a deal to sign him.
Bentancur is good friends with Lucas Torreira, who the Gunners recently signed, so they’ll be hoping that the 21-year-old wants to move to London to play in the same side as his friend.

The dynamic, hard-working, versatile midfielder wasn’t a regular in the Juventus team last season and as the Turin-based side look to make major improvements this summer, they could decide to let Bentancur leave.
Unai Emery has already signed Bernd Leno, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Matteo Guendouzi and Torreira, and if these reports are to be believed, Bentancur could be the next player he brings to the Emirates.
