Arsene Wenger has urged midfielder Jack Wilshere to sign a new deal at the Emirates Stadium, according to the London Evening Standard.
Wilshere’s contract expires in the Summer, meaning that the player is free to negotiate with other clubs on a pre-contract basis. Juventus are reportedly leading the chase in this regard.
However, Arsenal still believe that they will be able to get Wilshere to stay at the club. It is reported that Wilshere has been offered a reduced wage contract, due to the midfielder’s injury problems.

Speaking about Wilshere’s contract, Wenger said; “That decision doesn’t depend only on me, I want him to sign very quickly.”
“We are still to make the decision and find the pen somewhere. I’m happy to give him one.”
Wilshere’s injury problems have not really shown so far this season. The England international has only missed three games in 2018, and has been ever-present in the Arsenal team.
