Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey could be set to miss the Carabao Cup final after his injury was found to be more severe than first assumed, according to Football London.
The Welsh international was left out of the side that lost to Tottenham last weekend. This was after Ramsey scored a hat-trick against Everton in a 5-1 win over the Toffees.
Arsenal then confirmed Ramsey had sustained what they described as a ‘minor’ groin problem and hoped that he would return for the Europa League game against Ostersunds FK.

However, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that the injury is more severe than expected and that Ramsey is a doubt for the Carabao Cup final clash against Manchester City.
“It’s a little bit a sensitive case,” said Wenger “I expect him to be a bit further in the development of the groin problem.
“He doesn’t move forward as quickly as I expected.
“Today I would say he will not be available for the next game against Ostersund. For the cup final? I don’t know yet, it depends on how he progresses from now.”
Alexandre Lacazette will also miss the game in Sweden, with Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang ineligible after already appearing in the competition for Borussia Dortmund.
