Arsene Wenger under pressure to deliver top four

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has come under huge pressure as his side look likely to miss out on a space in a top four which could have implications on his job according to the Mail.

The Gunners failed to qualify for the Champions League last season for the first time since 1997 in Wengers rein something which the board want him to not replicate this season.

His side could still reach the Champions League ahead of next season were they to win the Europa League but due to the standard of sides in the competition, it will be tough to achieve this.

The North London club used the competition in the group stage as a chance to play the younger players and the fringe players but the experienced French manager will now elect his strongest team moving forward.

Arsenal have a problem in a forward area with Danny Welbeck being the only fit striker for the game.

Oliver Giroud, Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez were all sold in January whilst Alexandre Lacazette has been ruled out for 4-6 weeks whilst Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is ineligible for the Europa League.
