Arsenal’s defense has been all over the place at times this season and this is something the club are looking to improve on in the upcoming January transfer market.
Arsene Wenger has played a number of different players in the central defensive areas this season and is yet to find a solution to their problems.
The Gunners have had a bid of £35 million rejected for the player and it looks likely that the Gunners are going to need to look elsewhere if they are to find a better option in their defensive line as reported by the Daily Star.

Benatia is a key player for the Turin club following the departure of Leonardo Bonucci to Ac Milan in the summer and the club are reluctant to sell at this stage.
The Moroccan has made a big impact since joining the club having appeared in 35 matches in all competitions and continues to play at his best following successful spells at Roma and Bayern Munich in the past.
Arsenal were prepared to spend big on the player with a £35 million bid with Wenger reluctant to give youth a chance in Rob Holding and Callum Chambers.
