Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has rejoined AS Roma on another season-long loan, meaning he will spend a second consecutive year playing for the Serie A club.
As reported by Sky Sports, the Polish international will spend the 2016/17 season in Italy, which will likely mean that David Ospina will stay as the backup to Petr Cech, despite recent reports which suggested that he might leave the club.

There had been some talk that Arsenal would look to sell Ospina and keep Szczesny as their number two, but they have turned out to be wide of the mark.
The 26-year-old represented Poland at Euro 2016 and is certainly good enough to be a number one keeper at a lot of clubs, which is why it is a bit of a surprise that Arsenal have chosen to loan him rather than sell him, as they could have potentially been able to get a nice fee for him.
