Arsenal are reportedly considering making a move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani if Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy rejects the chance to move to the Emirates.
According to a report from Neil Fissler of the Daily Express, Arsene Wenger has identified the Uruguayan as a plan B if the proposed deal on the table for Vardy falls through.
Cavani was offered the chance to make a big money move to the Chinese Super League, worth up to £500,000 a week, but he’s rejected that opportunity as he feels that at age 29, he still has plenty left to offer and he is apparently keen to make a move to play in the Premier League.
The potential deal for Vardy is on hold whilst the player is on international duty with England but there are reports that he is considering staying at Leicester. If that happens, it looks like Cavani could be the next name on Wenger’s list.
