Olivier Giroud has suffered widespread criticism recently over his lack of goalscoring ability. The French striker is currently on a 15 game goal drought, and could well lose his place to Danny Welbeck at the weekend.
With Arsenal’s title challenge once again crumbling, many have attributed the problem to be the lack of a true goalscorer up front. Due to this, Jeremy Wilson of the Daily Telegraph, has reported that Arsenal have been heavily scouting, AZ Alkmaar striker, Vincent Janssen.

The name might sound familiar to England fans, as Janssen scored a penalty against England, in their friendly match versus Holland in March.
The 21-year-old striker has been in fine form for AZ Alkmaar this season, having scored 26 goals in the Eredivisie this season. Having been released from Feynoord in 2013, Janssen joined Alkmaar from Almere City – an Erste Divisie side – last summer. The young striker has been a big reason in keeping Alkmaar in the top four this season.
Due to his apparent technical skill and goalscoring record, it seems Arsenal might have found a striker that could possibly replace Giroud at the Emirates.
