Arsenal have offered Bayern Munich defender Rafinha a three-year contract, according to a report from German publication BILD.
The 30-year-old right-back looks set to leave the Allianz Arena this summer, with Bayern looking to bring in a younger replacement to help kick off Carlo Ancelotti’s tenure as manager.
The Brazilian has played 22 games in the Bundesliga this season, but not always at his preferred right-back position. He’s also been deployed as a left-back, a centre-back, and a right-winger as Pep Guardiola has taken advantage of his versatility.

Arsenal already have a high-quality starting right-back in Hector Bellerin but don’t really have an established backup to the Spaniard.
Carl Jenkinson is still on the books, and could be a part of the squad next season after two consecutive loan spells, while it looks certain that Mathieu Debuchy will exit the club. Rafinha is certainly talented enough to start for a lot of top teams around Europe, so it remains to be seen if he’d be happy being a backup at the Emirates.
