Arsenal have reportedly had an £11.5m bid for Marcelo Brozovic rejected by Inter Milan.

A report from Tuttosport (via the Mirror) suggests that the Italian side have no plans to sell the Croatian midfielder, and especially not for such a low price.

The 23-year-old is a mainstay in the Inter side and has featured in 22 of their Serie A games this season, so it is no surprise that they do not want to let him leave.

Added to that, he is under contract until 2019 so unless Arsenal, or any other club, come in with an offer that the Milan-based side think is too good to turn down, he’s likely to continue his career at the San Siro.

The odd thing about this deal is that, technically, Brozovic is still a Dinamo Zagreb player. He joined Inter on an 18-month loan back in 2018, although the terms of the loan mean that the Italian side must purchase him in the summer and give him the deal that lasts until 2019.

Arsenal look to be in the market for a midfielder with plenty of their own midfield players set to leave in the summer, but it looks like they’ll need to look elsewhere with Brozovic seemingly not for sale.
