Arsenal have taken highly rated Scottish goalkeeper Josh Donaldson on trial, with interest from a number of Premier League clubs also impending.
Donaldson is currently on the books of Dundee United, but the 15-year-old has been allowed to visit Arsenal’s London Colney training ground so that youth staff could analyse the young ‘keeper and make a better judgement.
This isn’t the first team Donaldson has visited another club, with Scottish clubs Rangers and Hearts also taking him on trial previously.

Donaldson was surprisingly left out of Scotland’s squad for the Sky Sports Victory Shield, which was eventually won by Wales. However, his stock has risen considerably in Scotland after a Man of the Match performance against Switzerland on his debut for the Scotland under-16 side caught the attention of numerous clubs, including Manchester United and Leicester City.
If Arsenal were to sign the youngster, then they would have to pay United a compensation fee, for the Scotsman’s services.
