Aaron Ramsey has praised the work-rate that his teammates showed during the Gunners’ 3-0 home victory over Manchester United. The Welshman was instrumental in his side’s first home win over United since 2011 and was full of praise for his teammates and the performance they put in.
Speaking post-match, the Welshman pins the victory on the work ethic of the Arsenal team, who could be found pressing Manchester United all across the pitch.
Our main aim was to press high up and win the ball back in dangerous areas.
We knew we could capitalise on that and we did it.
The work ethic of the whole team was brilliant today and that’s what we need to keep doing throughout the whole season to be successful.
Hopefully now at home we can make a bit of a run and keep this up. The work-rate we showed today is what we have got to show week win, week out.

When asked about being considered potential title contenders again, Ramsey acknowledged that the Gunners are back in the running for the Barclays Premier League title along with Manchester City. The 24-year-old also believes that his side can continue their good form in the league and can in fact still challenge for every competition that they are still in.
Yes, I think we are in a good position, we are on a good run in the league, hopefully we can keep that up. We need to get back to winning ways in the Champions League now as well.
We are still in all of the competitions. We want to compete in all of them.
Ramsey closed his interview by admitting that beating United is always a good feeling because they always offer such a challenge.
It’s always nice to beat Manchester United and we will enjoy this win tonight.
