Turkish giants Galatasaray are interested in making a move for Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but it is unlikely that the England international will leave in the current transfer window, as the Turkish side bid to win the Super Lig title, according to the Mirror. The north London side will be reluctant to sell the electric winger, especially because he is only 22-years-old and he is looking to have a breakout year and become a Premier League star.

Arsenal should be focusing on adding attacking talent rather than selling it because of the lack of goals in the squad. The man known as the Ox is a huge part of the club’s future and would surely cost a lot of money, but Galatasaray are ‘insisting’ that they can afford the England international.
The Ox is looking to have his breakout year and become a first-team regular this season, so it would be a surprise for Arsene Wenger to let go of such a promising player and for the Ox to agree to move away from home to a weaker league. Oxlade-Chamberlain is still young and Turkey has a reputation for being a league where older players go to play once their best years are behind them, for example, recent signings for teams in the Turkish Super Lig are Robin Van Persie, Samuel Eto’o, Wesley Sneijder, and Lukas Podolski all of whom are 30-years-old or older.

The young Englishman’s best years of his career are undoubtedly in front of him, so to see him move to a league like Turkey’s would be quite a surprise. If the Ox wants to be a star for England at the next European Championship in France, he needs to remain with Arsenal and have the best season of his career.
