Emily Fox, Mariona Caldentey and Alessia Russo have all retained their places in the PFA WSL Team of the Year following their performances for Arsenal Women in 2025/26.
The PFA’s official awards list named all three Gunners in the league’s best XI, which was selected by their fellow players.
Arsenal’s total of three representatives is matched only by Chelsea and Manchester City.
Arsenal trio earn repeat PFA WSL Team of the Year recognition
Fox, Caldentey and Russo were also included in the 2024/25 PFA WSL Team of the Year. Kim Little completed Arsenal’s four-player contingent last year, leaving the club with one fewer representative this time.
Hannah Hampton starts in goal behind a defence of Kerstin Casparij, Tōko Koga, Ellie Carpenter and Fox. Yui Hasegawa, Caldentey and Jess Park form the midfield, with Bunny Shaw, Russo and Lauren James completing the side.
There was further Arsenal recognition at the ceremony as Olivia Smith retained the Women’s PFA Young Player of the Year award.
The selections provide an individual reward before a new campaign in which Arsenal will try to turn second place into a first WSL title since 2019. The club’s 18-player summer overhaul has reshaped Renée Slegers’ options around the three players honoured by their peers.
Arsenal finish pre-season against Charlton Athletic at Meadow Park on Wednesday. Kick-off is at 7pm BST, with the ReadArsenal viewing guide carrying the latest broadcast information before the WSL opener at Brighton on 6 September.
