Arsenal Player Ratings: Burnley (A)

Arsenal fluffed their chance to close the gap on the top-six clubs in the Premier League when they were held to a goalless draw against Burnley at Turf Moor.

Both teams, who started the day on 30 points, had enough chances to break the deadlock in either half, but the finishing of both sides lacked quality on more than few occasions.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had chances to put the Gunners ahead in the first half, but neither of them were able to convert.

Burnley then sprung to life in the second-half and had a plethora of opportunities to go ahead. However, they were wasteful in the final third, with Jeff Hendrick putting his header wide and Jay Rodriguez’s effort somehow hitting the underside of the bar before bouncing out.

The result means another draw for Mikel Arteta’s men, their 13th of this season, and they still remain 10 points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
