Arsenal midfielder, Santi Cazorla has returned to light training as he works his way back from a long-term injury, according to Football London.
He is still a long way off from being back fit and has little chance of featuring this season as he targets a return for the start of the upcoming 2018/19 campaign.
Cazorla’s current deal comes to a close at the end of the season but the club may be tempted to offer him a new contract if his fitness between now and then can be proved.
The Spanish midfielder has had all sorts of problems with injuries of late, having now been sidelined for nearly two years.
He has been severely missed by the club as they fall yet further behind the teams inside the top four in the Premier League.
Cazorla will hope to play again for Arsenal but will be desperate to continue building up his fitness ahead of a summer of upheaval at the Emirates.
