Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has admitted that he’s considering a January exit from the club, if they will grant him permission to leave.

The 31-year-old, who came off the bench to rescue a late point for the Gunners at the weekend against Southampton, is hoping to secure a place in France’s World Cup squad for the upcoming tournament in Russia.
However, competition for a place in the Didier Deschamps’ squad is fierce and the manager has already stated that Giroud would need to be getting more minutes than he currently is if he was to be selected.

With this looking like Giroud’s last chance to play in a World Cup, he is keen to get regular first-team football and he is prepared to leave the Emirates to get it.
Giroud also confirmed that he was close to joining Borussia Dortmund in the summer but that move fell through when the Bundesliga side kept hold of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
