International breaks often bring with them the risk of injury and it looks like Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is the latest player to get hurt whilst away with his national side.

The striker went down holding his right leg during a training session with France at their training base in Clairefontaine.

The 31-year-old looked to be in a fair bit of pain and left the session for treatment, although there is no word on his status at present.

With the North London derby coming up in 11 days time, Arsene Wenger will be keen to have the Frenchman available for selection, although even if fit, he would be likely to start the game on the bench.

With Rob Holding out and with Danny Welbeck and Shkodran Mustafi still battling to get back fit, Arsenal could find themselves without a few regular first-team players for the game against their local rivals.
