The 27-year-old looked set to join Watford but they reportedly pulled the plug on that move after failing to agree terms and he will now look to agree a contract with the Baggies before completing a medical later today.
Albion fans have been keen for the club to buy a natural left-back for some time and in Gibbs, they are getting one with experience of playing at the highest levels of the game.
West Brom are still looking to add a centre-back to their squad too with Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho still on their radar as they look for replacements for Jonny Evans who is expected to join Manchester City in the next few days.
