Arsenal are lining up a shock move for Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio, according to a report from Neil Fissler of the Express.
The 21-year-old has taken to Real Madrid like a duck to water and scored in both legs of the Spanish Super Cup victory over Barcelona earlier this month.
He reportedly has a buyout clause of £75million in his contract and the Gunners are reportedly willing to match it.
Of course, the player himself would still have to agree to the move even if the clause was met and whilst he is clearly in the first-team plans of Zinedine Zidane, it’s unlikely that he’d make a move to the Emirates.

However, he’s not a guaranteed starter at Real and if Arsene Wenger tells him that he’d play every week for Arsenal, there is a small chance that he could have his head turned.
Arsenal are expecting a busy few days in terms of outgoings before the window closes, time will tell if they are able to make any additions too.
