Galatasaray have held talks with Arsenal over a potential transfer of midfielder Mohamed Elneny, as per a report in Turkish outlet Fotospor.
According to the report, Galatasaray sporting director Cenk Ergun is in London and has held initial talks with the Gunners about the possibility of signing the Egyptian midfielder.
Elneny joined Arsenal last summer from Basel but was unable to hold down a regular position in Arsene Wenger’s side and with other reinforcements likely to be added to the squad, he could see him playing time further reduced.

Arsenal would reportedly be willing to let the 25-year-old go and there had been talk that they’d agreed to let Leicester City have him but the player himself rejected the chance to join the former Premier League winners.
Whether he fancies a move to Turkey to join Galatasaray remains to be seen, although for that to even become a possibility, a deal will still need to be agreed between the two clubs.
