Although Arsenal were beaten 2-0 by Barcelona during the week, one player in particular put in an impressive performance – Hector Bellerin.
The young Spaniard has been a revelation since he took Mathieu Debuchy’s place at right back. Having been brought in from Barcelona at the age of 16, Bellerin has progressed well and is now an essential player for the club. After impressing midweek, however, it now seems the 20-year-old has caught the eye of his old club.

Following his performance, the Independent, via Sport, report that both Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique inquired as to Bellerin’s situation at the club. The news will make every Arsenal fan nervous, as it is quite a well-trodden track from Arsenal to Barcelona. Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas, Alex Song and Thomas Vermaelen have all made the move to the Catalan club from north London.

Many Arsenal fans had thought the club had gone past the stage of all the best players leaving the club, but it might not be an impossible move. The ex-Barcelona man has been one of the best right backs in the league this year
Considering Dani Alves is coming to the end of his Barcelona career, a return to the Catalan club could well be on the cards.
