Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has not had the greatest of seasons thus far. Earlier in the year, it was reported that the England winger has been lacking in confidence and his play has reflected that.

The winger has struggled to find form and thus has lost his first team place to both Theo Walcott and Joel Campbell. Recently, moreover, there have been reported rumours of Oxlade-Chamberlain’s desire for a new contract, with wages similar to that of Jack Wilshere.

Due to these contract rumours, it has been reported by the Brentwood Gazette that West Ham United will look to bid £15 million for the England international in the summer. Slaven Bilic’s side have been one of the better teams this year, and could well finish in the European spots by the end of the season.

West Ham will be moving into the Olympic Stadium next year, and will look to build on their already impressive side. From Oxlade-Chamberlain’s perspective, the London club could well provide a solid option, as he would not need to relocate, and would be playing for a top level Premier League side.

If Arsenal does indeed decide to sell the Ox, the move could well benefit all parties involved.
