After a dramatic draw midweek, Arsenal looked to win or draw against Stoke City to retain their place at the top of the league. However, this would not be easy as the Gunners went away to the Britannia, a stadium they have not won at since 2010. A disappointing first half with Olivier Giroud’s chance the only talking point after a magnificent save from goalkeeper Jack Butland. The second half would be much more intense, with Petr Cech saving Arsenal from dropping from first in the league after making a number of crucial saves.
A 0-0 draw after heroics from both goalkeepers was the story. Arsenal retain first place for another week after a tough away game that fans will be happy is no longer on their fixture list. Here are how the players rate against Stoke.
