Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech believes the squad has what it to takes to win the Premier League title this year. After an impressive win on Monday night, Arsenal now sit only two points behind leaders Leicester City.
After a dip in form and multiple injuries, Arsenal now seem to be returning to their best. Injured players are returning and the results have been improving. As per BBC Sport, Petr Cech believes that when the squad is at full strength, the team has more than enough to win that elusive title.
“The squad is very strong and once we have everybody available, the manager can use every player the way he likes. That will be to our advantage and we’ll be able to go all the way”
Injuries have been an annual problem for Arsenal. Arsene Wenger’s side has not won the title since the 2003/04 season. Since then, Arsenal have suffered tough times and have not mounted any serious title challenge until now. The last two seasons, however, Arsenal have won two successive FA Cups. The additions of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and most recently Petr Cech have highlighted Arsenal’s new spending power.

Petr Cech was bought from Chelsea last summer for £10 million – adding quality and most essentially, title winning experience. Petr Cech won the title last year with Chelsea, adding a fourth Premier League title to his resume, and the experienced Cech believes Arsenal have the squad depth and quality to win the league.
“We’ve been through the season with plenty of problems. Everything isn’t going as smoothly as we would like it to. We can’t avoid injuries – sometimes you have more, sometimes you have less – but we showed that even with the unlucky injuries at the moment that we manage to win games.”
“I believe we will benefit from players coming back into the team, once they are fit.The season is long and anything can happen. But if we stay where we are until March or April, then we have the chance to win the league”
