Legendary Arsenal striker Dennis Bergkamp has moved quickly to rule himself out of the vacant Swansea City job. Garry Monk was sacked this past week after a poor run of results and Bergkamp confirmed he is not going to be his replacement at the Liberty Stadium.
The 46-year-old is no stranger to the English top-flight. He played over 300 league games for the Gunners between 1995-2006, and won the title on three occasions.
However, he is currently working as assistant manager to Frank de Boer at his hometown club Ajax and says that he is happy in the role and is not considering leaving anytime soon.

As reported by Sky Sports, the 1998 PFA Players’ Player of the Year said:
I currently have no ambition to become a head coach. There’s a job to do at Ajax and I see my role here in the next few years.
Hiring Bergkamp would have been a risky move for Swansea, but probably one worth taking as ex-players with coaching experience who were as gifted on the field as the Dutchman don’t come along too often, but now they’ll need to look elsewhere.
Former Sunderland manager Gus Poyet is one option as is Graham Potter who manages Swedish club Ostersunds.
