Arsenal’s new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to have two numbers allocated to him following his arrival at the club.

but, due to @UEFA rules, @HenrikhMkh will wear
The new Arsenal midfielder joined the club earlier this month as part of a swap deal which saw Alexis Sanchez move to Manchester United.
The Armenian has since taken Sanchez’s shirt number, which is seven, but can only do so in domestic competitions.
Due to UEFA, rulings he can’t wear the number 7 in the Europa League with the reason being that Sanchez has already worn that number for Arsenal in the competition.
It’s a strange rule but one which must be stuck by and the attacking midfielder will instead now wear the number 77 for his side’s fixtures in the Europa League until the end of the season.
This will come into effect when the Gunners play their next game of the competition in two weeks against Swedish side Östersunds FK in the last 32 of the competition.
