Arsenal claimed a nervy 3-2 win over Crystal Palace this evening as they claimed just their third away win of the season at Selhurst Park.
It was a much improved performance from the Gunners after being inconsistent of late, particularly on their travels.
The visitors took the lead thanks to a calm strike from returning central defender Shkodran Mustafi before Andros Townsend levelled after the break following good work from Wilfried Zaha.
The brilliant Alexis Sanchez netted a second half brace for the Gunners as they picked up a crucial three points on their travels to move back level on points with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
James Tomkins also scored late on, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation goal, as Arsene Wenger’s side hung on.
The Gunners next face a trip to the Midlands to face a struggling West Brom side on New Years Day at the Hawthorns.
