Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is open to a potential swap deal involving Alexandre Lacazette and Oliver Giroud.

Get French Football News, who quote Le 10 Sport claim that the strikers could swap clubs with Lacazette once again continuously linked with a move away from Lyon.

Lacazette appeared to be heading to Atletico Madrid but their transfer ban halted the deal.

Whilst ‘swap deals’ are very uncommon in the modern era of transfers, the inclusion of Giroud could lower Lyon’s asking price significantly.

The French forward has been a long-term target for Arsenal, who are on the look out for reinforcement in the attacking areas.

Alexis Sanchez could be on his way out of the club, meaning the Gunners will need to replace the Chilean, who Arsene Wenger favoured in a central striking role last season.

Giroud has rumoured to be a transfer target of a number of French sides with Marseille also thought to be interested in the player. With the World Cup on the horizon, Giroud will need to consider his future very carefully this summer.
