It has been twenty years since Arsenal signed one of the, if not the most influential person in the history of the club, in the form of French manager Arsène Wenger. He brought beautiful football to North London and did not only change Arsenal Football Club, as he also changed all of English football. Although Wenger gets a lot of criticism, there’s just no one that can deny that Arsène Wenger is a legend, perhaps the biggest legend that this club has ever seen.
In the twenty years that the Frenchman has been at the club, he brought in some amazing and unknown players. Arsene Wenger seems to have an eye for players that are quite unknown, but do have the capacity to make it at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
As a tribute to the manager, we take a look at some of the best signings he ever made. Of course, there are way more players that I could’ve included, these players are just a few of the many great players Wenger signed.
