Arsenal travel to the Etihad on Sunday afternoon, in what is a critical game for both teams. After an incredibly disappointing season, Arsenal are in a fight to secure a top four position. Manchester City, likewise, have shifted their attention to the Champions League in recent weeks, and consequently their League form has severely dropped.
With City losing their semi-final against Real Madrid, and therefore the chance at automatic qualification – through winning the trophy – finishing the League season well has become imperative. In Arsenal’s case, beating City would secure a top three finish. Furthermore, with Tottenham drawing to Chelsea on Monday, and with a possibly troublesome game against Southampton at the weekend, there is still a small chance both teams could finish second.
Both Arsenal and Manchester City have dramatically underachieved this season. Both teams have arguably better squads than Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur. With all this said, both we, and Read Manchester City have produced what we think is the best combined XI, so take a look at ours in the usual 4-2-3-1 formation.
Be sure to vote at the bottom, as to which team you think is best.
