Chelsea youth player could be on his way to Arsenal

Chelsea academy player, Domingos Quina, is being monitored by Arsenal after he walked out of training earlier this week as he feels unwanted by the Blues, The Times are reporting.

The Portuguese under-17 international player has been with Chelsea since the age of 13 but his time with the club may be coming to an end after reports confirmed he walked out of a training session to practise on his own until he can sign for a new club.

The Chelsea youth system has been criticised for some time now with people saying that recent managers have not been promoting youth into the first team, instead choosing to sign foreign players from across Europe.

Arsenal, as well as Premier League rivals Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United, have been watching the youngster perform for the Chelsea under-18’s and scouts from those clubs went to watch him play for the Portugal Under-17’s against Croatia on Tuesday evening.

Since Quina is under seventeen, he is allowed to leave Chelsea if he wishes without any intervention from the club due to him being on a scholarly contract rather than a professional one.
