Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is worried that teams will look to exploit his side in the January transfer window, as they’ll know how desperate they’ll be to bring in reinforcements, as reported by Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail.
With Santi Cazorla joining Francis Coquelin on the long-term injury list, added to the questions that constantly surround the fitness of Mikel Arteta and Jack Wilshere, Arsenal will need to bring in at least one midfielder in January, but with clubs around Europe knowing how badly the Gunners need a player or two, they could well hike up their asking prices.

According to the report, Wenger is well aware that his first choice targets, such as Lars Bender and William Carvalho are unlikely to be sold in January, so Arsenal will instead investigate the possibilities of any potential short-term loan deals for more experienced players, similar to the deal they made to bring in Kim Källström back in January 2014.
