West Brom could make a January loan move for Arsenal’s Mathieu Debuchy, according to a report in the Express & Star.
Debuchy is currently out of favour at the Emirates and is apparently concerned that a lack of game time could cost him his place in the France squad for the upcoming European Championship next summer.
The 30-year-old joined the Gunners from Newcastle in July 2014 and is comfortable playing at both right-back or centre-back. However, the emergence Héctor Bellerín at full-back and the consistency of Gabriel, Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker in the middle of the defence has lead to a lack of playing time for the Frenchman.

He hasn’t started a league game since the opening day of the season, and his only two recent appearances have come in the League Cup, including Arsenal’s failure on Tuesday evening in Hillsborough, where they crashed out 3-0 losers to Sheffield Wednesday.
The versatile defender would provide Tony Pulis with some much-needed strength in depth, and adding an experienced, motivated international player to the squad could benefit the Baggies and help them in the second half of the season.
