Arsenal could have signed Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin and Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min before they both joined their respective clubs, if it wasn’t for Arsene Wenger, according to a Gunners’ scout.
On The Secret Footballer, TSF says he spoke to the scout recently and discussed Spurs’ new forward.
The scout says he had notes on Son, all of which were positive, and thinks Arsenal could have signed him if they made a move sooner.
When TSF asked the scout why they didn’t make such a move for Son earlier, he responded with some criticism of the Arsenal manager and suggested that the South Korean isn’t the first big-name Premier League player that the Gunners could have signed.
It’s Arsene [Wenger]. He’s so indecisive it’s frightening. We had Schneiderlin done and dusted last January and, by the summer, the gaffer had changed his mind. Son was 100 per cent perfect for us.

Arsenal were linked with a move for Schneiderlin on numerous occasions, but when no deal came through, Louis van Gaal swooped to take him to Old Trafford.
TSF also brought up the possibility of Arsenal signing Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus, however, it looks as if that’s one player they won’t be looking to recruit.
Not for us now. We’ve got enough of those players.
