“The Arteta effect” – Arsenal fans are loving recent Zarza transfer links

Arsenal are reportedly keen on pipping Liverpool to Sevilla starlet Antonio Zarzana.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder is regarded as a future star in Spain and has been tipped to make the move to the Emirates over the next six months.

Zarzana, who netted a cheeky panenka penalty against Real Madrid’s youth side last season, has been plying his trade with Sevilla’s reserve side and has also been capped by Spain at Under-18 level.

The news regarding Arsenal’s interest quickly made its way across social media, which led to plenty of supporters sharing their excitement.

Mikel Arteta appears to be closing in on the vacant managerial role at the Emirates and the first arrival under the 37-year-old could be one with similar attributes to the former Gunners man.

Arsenal have had recent success in bringing an unknown teenager to England in Gabriel Martinelli.

The Brazilian has been one of the club’s best performers after joining over the summer, so the possible signing of Zarzana could also turn out to be an excellent piece of business.
