Arsenal fans concerned about appointing Carlo Ancelotti

Arsenal fans have expressed their concern about the possible appointment of Carlo Ancelotti.

The Italian is emerging as one of the front runners for the job after being sacked by Napoli.

Ancelotti leaves Napoli following their 4-0 win in the Champions League and he’s being tipped to make an immediate return to management.

As the links to Arsenal grow stronger, these Arsenal fans on social media explained why he might not be the right man for the job.

It’s a tough one for Arsenal because on one hand, they need a manager with the kind of experience that Ancelotti can offer.

However, the size of the job at the Emirates should not be overlooked. Ancelotti’s spells at Bayern Munich and Napoli backfired and the general theme regarding his struggles appear to be his lacking of coaching on the training ground compared to the modern-day managers like Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp.

During his time at Bayern, it was widely reported that the players were yearning for more rigorous and in-depth training sessions, having previously been managed by the meticulous Pep Guardiola.

Arsenal might be better off pursuing a more ‘hands-on’ coach, who can galvanise this current squad, who are clearly playing at a fraction of their true capabilities.

Ancelotti may have a wealth of experience, but his laid-back and somewhat dated approach to the modern game may see him be left behind at the top of the European game.
