Arsenal fans are hoping to see Rob Holding against Vitoria this afternoon as he looks to brush off a poor display against Liverpool last week.
The 24-year-old has made four appearances so far this season, all of which have come in cup competitions.
Holding’s last outing was in the 5-5 Carabao Cup tie against the Reds, where he came in for a lot of criticism.
However, Gunners fan page @LTArsenal shared their preferred team to take on Vitoria, stating their wish to rest Holding ahead of the trip to Leicester City this weekend.
Twitter: Team I’d play against Vitoria: Martinez, Chambers, Sokratis, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Willock, ESR, Nelson Saka,… https://t.co/5rySZ6BGrc (@ltarsenal)
The post didn’t go down well with these Arsenal supporters, who were quick to reply calling for the defender to play this evening to regain his impressive form prior to the Liverpool clash.
Twitter: @ltarsenal Holding was shocking against Liverpool. He should play Vitoria to regain some form. Why would you start… https://t.co/vU47biCSTR (@samirfc45)
Twitter: @ltarsenal Holding got ruined for 90 mins against Liverpool and we throw in straight into the first team? Confidenc… https://t.co/LO8m0zdjaO (@kevcarr25)
Twitter: @ltarsenal Stop over hyping Holding. He needs to prove himself in EL first to claim place in PL (@Raulknockfc)
Twitter: @ltarsenal Holding was really poor in his last game, I would go for Mustafi over him. (@nonpareil_afc)

A start against the Foxes at the King Power could end in disaster for the Englishman, who is still looking to build up competitive game time following his return from a lengthy absence.
So, another start in Europe would probably be the best plan for Holding, and if he can get back to his best, he may well force his way into Unai Emery’s side following the international break.
