Arsenal have been keeping tabs on RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano ever since showing a late summer interest in the Frenchman, and the latest revelation has left many Gunners supporters excited.
The centre-back was the subject of a €60 million bid from Arsenal, however, after a move failed to materialise, they turned their attention to David Luiz.

The Gunners have been heavily tipped to go back in for the youngster in the new year, who looks increasingly likely to leave the Bundesliga outfit.
Upamecano also has no intentions of renewing his Leipzig deal, and this news quickly spread across social media, leading to plenty of excitement from the red side of north London.

It remains unsure as to whether or not the Gunners would be willing to splash the cash again in January, but a defensive addition would be high on Unai Emery’s wishlist.
Upamecano is regarded as a future star, and if signed, could link up with fellow Frenchman William Saliba next year.
The Gunners would be silly not to track the defender’s situation, and following the latest reports, a move away from Germany looks like it could well be on the cards.
