The Armenian international was forced to miss Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Burnley on the weekend.
The 29-year-old will now be absent for the busy festive fixture schedule as Arsenal’s squad continues to be plagued with injuries.
The Gunners are currently preparing to face Brighton on Boxing Day and will have to do without the former Manchester United man, meaning that Unai Emery may need to rely more on Mesut Ozil.
