French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais are going to do everything in their power to keep hold of their star player Nabil Fekir beyond January with Premier League side Arsenal interested in securing his signature, according to a report on Sport.
Lyon President Jean Michel Aulas has revealed that Fekir is being targeted by some of Europe’s finest clubs, including Arsenal.

However, Aulas, who was speaking to SFR Sport 1 believes that Fekir will remain at the French side until at least the summer.
He’s under contract [until 2020], he’s happy in Lyon. He’s enjoying a period of success football-wise, but also in terms of management as he’s captain of a Lyon that has been able to get itself back on track, and it’s also thanks to him.
Arsenal have been flirting with the possibility of singing Fekir for the past few seasons but the move has never materialised.
With Arsenal set to lose star players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, the Gunners need to start thinking of possible replacements and manager Arsene Wenger has Fekir high on his list of transfer targets going into the January transfer window.
Fekir is also expected to be included in the French national team squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia and Aulas believes that top performances from his forward in the tournament will enhance his value.
We’re going to do everything for Nabil to stay and I think he wants to stay.
Fekir recently shone in the UEFA Europa League for Lyon against Premier League side Everton.
